Using Gelatin-Based Nanoparticles to Treat Breast Cancer

Prof. Mansoor Amiji at Northeastern University has developed a gene delivery system that targets breast cancer cells using nanoparticles made of gelatin. The therapy has reduced the size of tumors in mice by shutting down the road for oxygen and nutrients to enter.
