Understanding Tuberculosis Bacterium

Tuberculosis (TB) is caused by a bacterium that weakens our body's defenses. Bacteria can evolve to become more resistant to our immune systems, and this is believed to be true for the TB bacterium. Fortunately, scientists from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine have recently made a breakthrough in understanding its genetic makeup. Watch this videocast to understand what this might mean for fighting this still-deadly disease.
